Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all orders placed with Alpha0608 Solutions LLC, doing business as Keepsake Foundry ("Keepsake Foundry," "we," "us," "the studio"). By placing an order, uploading photos, or approving a digital render, you ("the customer") agree to these Terms.
Custom work, made to order
- Every commission is produced individually from the photos and instructions you provide. Pieces are artistic interpretations, not exact duplications — cartooning, proportions, and finish reflect our studio style shown throughout this site.
- Your order includes a digital review step. Production does not begin until you approve the render. Approval confirms you accept the likeness, spelling, colors, and pose as shown.
- Engraved text (names, dates, verses) is printed exactly as you submit it. Please double-check spelling and dates before approval — we print what you approve.
Timelines & communication
- Typical production time is 3–4 weeks from photo submission to shipment, including rendering, your review, printing, and hand-finishing. Timelines are estimates, not guarantees, unless we confirm a deadline in writing before payment.
- If we cannot reach you for review or approval within 30 days, we may pause the order. Orders inactive for 90 days may be cancelled with a refund of amounts not yet earned by work performed.
Right to refuse
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any commission, at any stage, that violates these Terms, our content standards, applicable law, or that we're not able to produce to our quality standard. If we cancel, you receive a full refund of any amounts paid for work not performed.
What we will & won't print
We make family keepsakes. To keep the studio a place we're proud of — and to keep us both on the right side of the law — we do not accept commissions containing:
Nudity or sexual content
No nude, semi-nude, or sexualized figures of any kind, real or fictional.
Content involving minors beyond family keepsakes
Commissions depicting minors are accepted only from a parent or legal guardian, and only as wholesome keepsakes.
Hate, harassment, or violence
No hate symbols, slurs, threats, or content demeaning any person or group.
Functional weapons or weapon parts
We print display collectibles. No firearm components, blades, or other items designed to function as weapons.
Trademarked & copyrighted characters
No characters, logos, or designs owned by others (film, TV, video game, comic, or brand IP) unless you hold written rights.
Celebrity or public-figure likenesses
We render the people in your life, from photos you have rights to — not public figures for resale.
Counterfeits or deceptive items
Nothing designed to pass as another brand's product, currency, credentials, or official documents.
Illegal or infringing items
Anything that violates federal, state, or local law, or the rights of any third party.
If your order falls into a gray area, we'll tell you before any work begins. Declining an order for these reasons is always at our sole discretion.
Copyright & intellectual property
Your photos
- You keep all rights to the photos you submit. You grant us a limited license to use them solely to design, produce, and quality-check your commission.
- By submitting photos, you represent and warrant that you own them or have permission from the photographer to use them for this purpose. Professional photos (school portraits, team photos, studio sessions) are typically owned by the photographer — please obtain their permission before submitting.
Our renders & designs
- The digital renders, 3D models, and production files we create remain the intellectual property of Alpha0608 Solutions LLC d/b/a Keepsake Foundry. Your purchase covers the finished physical piece(s); digital files are not included unless purchased separately in writing.
- Our product designs, photography, and website content may not be reproduced or used to produce competing goods.
Third-party IP
- We do not produce items bearing trademarked logos, characters, or protected designs for sale. Youth and recreational team names, colors, and jersey numbers from your own photos are generally fine; professional league and brand marks are not.
- You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of materials you submit, including claims that your photos or requested content infringe another party's rights.
Portfolio use
We love showing finished work (you've seen it all over this site). We may photograph completed commissions for our portfolio and social media only with your consent, which you can grant or decline on the photo consent form at checkout — and withdraw later by contacting us. Declining never affects your order.
Photo rights & likeness consent
A statue is a likeness of a real person, so consent matters to us. Before we render anyone, we ask that the following is true:
- Adults: every adult depicted in your commission has consented to their photo being used to create a physical likeness — or the commission is a gift being made by their close family with a reasonable belief they'd welcome it.
- Minors: commissions depicting anyone under 18 must be placed or authorized by a parent or legal guardian. We may ask you to confirm your relationship.
- Memorial pieces: commissions honoring someone who has passed must be placed by, or with the blessing of, their immediate family or estate.
- We will decline commissions that appear intended to mock, harass, or surveil the person depicted.
Consent waiver form. Our one-page Photo Submission & Likeness Consent form covers all of the above, plus your portfolio-use preference. It's completed at checkout, or you can download and sign the printable version:
Returns & refunds
Because every piece is custom-made for one person, commissions can't be restocked or resold. Here's how we keep it fair:
Before printing
- Cancel before rendering begins: full refund.
- Cancel after rendering, before approval: refund minus a design fee of 30% of the order, which covers artist time already spent.
- The approval step includes revisions — we'll adjust the render until you're happy before anything prints.
After delivery
- Arrived damaged: email photos of the piece and packaging within 7 days of delivery and we'll reprint and reship at no cost.
- Production defect (delamination, finish failure, wrong engraving vs. your approved proof): we'll repair or reprint free within 30 days of delivery.
- Change of mind, or differences from the photo that match the approved render: not refundable. The approved digital render is the reference for what we produce.
Stock (non-custom) items
Non-personalized items, like pendants and ready-made pieces, may be returned unused within 30 days for a refund of the item price; return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
Product care, disclaimers & liability
These are display pieces
- Our products are decorative collectibles, not toys. They contain small parts and are not intended for children under 14 or for mouthing, play, or unsupervised handling by young children.
- Pieces are printed in PLA and similar materials, then hand-finished. Keep them away from direct sunlight, heat sources, car dashboards, and water — heat can warp them and moisture can dull the finish.
- Cake toppers are food-adjacent décor: place on a clean barrier (parchment or a topper plate), don't insert into the cake, and don't serve materials that contacted the piece.
- Glow-in-the-dark and light-panel items use standard consumer materials and LED-safe designs; use only low-heat LED sources with lithophane panels.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed events or sentimental value. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Disputes
Tell us first — nearly every issue is fixable with a reprint or a refund. These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where the studio is registered; the governing state, venue, and any arbitration language should be inserted here on advice of counsel.
Note to studio owner: this page is a working draft written in plain language, not legal advice. Before launch, have a licensed attorney in your state review these Terms — particularly the liability, indemnification, dispute-resolution, and consent sections — and confirm compliance with your state's consumer-protection and refund laws.
