How it works

Four steps from your camera roll to your shelf.

No 3D scans, no studio visit. If you have a few good phone photos, we have everything we need.

STEP 1

Upload photos

Front, side, and back shots work best. Everyday phone photos are perfectly fine — even scanned prints.

STEP 2

Our artists render your model

We shape a digital portrait and match the hair, outfit, team colors, and pose from your photos.

STEP 3

Review & approve

You see the render from every angle and request tweaks. Nothing prints until you love it.

STEP 4

We print & ship

Printed in full color, hand-finished and sealed, then packed gift-ready with care.

The craft

From snapshot to statue.

The same commission at each stage of our studio process — this is what "review & approve" looks like in practice.

New drops, small batches. We run limited pieces like this whenever the studio has a window — glow batches, seasonal colors, one-off experiments. When a run is gone it doesn't always come back. Check in now and then, or follow along on Instagram so you catch the next one first.

How pricing works

Every price is a starting point for a made-to-order piece. Here's what shapes the final number, so there are no surprises at checkout.

One-time design fee

Each new subject is custom-rendered once (accounting for $35–50 of the total cost). This initial investment directly covers the skilled artist's labor.

Reprints cost less

Once someone's rendered, ordering them again — or the rest of the family — skips the design fee. Extra figures are discounted.

Add-ons & sizes

Bigger size, a replica car, extra props, or a photo gift box each add to the base. You'll see the total before you approve anything.

Nothing prints until you approve the digital render. Cancel before rendering for a full refund; see our returns policy for details.

What families say

The moment they open it.

The best part of our job is the reaction. Here's what a few customers told us.

"My mom didn't say a word for a full minute. Then she just hugged me."

"It looks exactly like him. The little smirk and everything."

T

"I've never seen my husband speechless. That did it."

B
Brenda
New York

"I was skeptical, not gonna lie — figured it'd look like a blob with a face. But they sent me a preview first, and even that was impressive, so I went ahead. The finished piece blew me away — it genuinely looks like my dog, who passed last fall. I keep it on my desk and it makes me smile instead of cry now. That's a win in my book."

Statues of Rev. Donald and Dr. Joyce holding hands, beside the anniversary photo they were rendered from The couple's 67th wedding anniversary card
Customer story
67years married

One photo from the party. One statue for the ages.

Married April 5, 1959, Rev. Donald and Rev. Dr. Joyce celebrated their 67th anniversary this spring. Their family sent us a single photo from the celebration — holding hands, same as always.

We rendered them just like that: his glasses and tie, her floral jacket, hands clasped in the middle. The engraved base carries their names, both dates, and the verse read at their wedding.

"…and they shall become one flesh." — Genesis 2:24, engraved at their family's request

A shelf of portrait busts of one family, displayed in front of their childhood photos
Our studio

We started by rendering our own family.

Keepsake Foundry began at home — turning our own wedding photo into a cake topper, our kids' game days into statues, our parents' anniversary into an heirloom. That shelf of busts above our family photos? That's us.

Every commission still gets that treatment: one artist, one family's story, and a finish we'd be proud to display on our own mantel.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers.

What photos do you need?

Three to four clear photos: a front view of the face, a side view, and a full-body shot in the pose or outfit you want. Phone photos are great. Old prints work too — we've rendered from scanned photos taken decades ago.

How long does a commission take?

Most pieces ship in 3–4 weeks: about a week of rendering, your review and approval, then printing, hand-finishing, and sealing. Need it for a specific date, like a banquet or anniversary? Tell us at checkout and we'll confirm before you pay.

Can you match team colors, jersey numbers, and accessories?

Yes — that's the point. Uniform colors, numbers, lettering, instruments, skate-guard colors, even a favorite necklace. If it's in your photos or your notes, we render it in.

What are the statues made of?

Multi-color 3D printed PLA, hand-finished and sealed with a protective gloss. They're display pieces — sturdy on a shelf or desk, but not toys for the bathtub.

What if I want changes to the render?

Every commission includes a review step with revisions before printing. You'll see the digital render from multiple angles and can request adjustments to the face, hair, outfit, or pose until it's right.

Do you take team or bulk orders?

Yes — coach gifts, senior-night sets, corporate awards, and wedding-party pieces. Bulk pricing starts at five figures per order (five statues, that is). Reach out and we'll plan the timeline together.

Ready to start your commission?

Tell us about your piece and share your photos. We'll reply within 2 business days with a design plan and quote — and nothing is charged until you approve your design.
